Houston Arts Journal is an independent arts blog, created by Catherine Lu.

This is my passion project to share arts news, announcements, and opportunities across art forms and genres, so that anyone interested in following the Houston arts scene can stay up-to-date with local developments.

This is also a form of journaling to me, as I jot down various events, trends, new arts leadership, and other headlines that catch my eye. I hope this blog will illustrate the activity, possibility, and diversity that exist in Houston arts.

Ticket policy: Houston Arts Journal does not accept free tickets for events that it covers. HAJ does attend media previews, press nights, and other PR events, and may accept tickets for events not receiving direct coverage on a case-by-case basis.
